- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Should be able to collaborate with multiple Govt. regulatory bodies, ministry and port authorities on frequent occasions
- Act as a strategic business partner for India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh region, should have good understanding of the compliance and regulations in these regions
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage risk assessment and mitigation plans to safeguard the company's financial health.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and corporate governance policies.
- Lead and mentor the finance team to achieve operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making processes.
- Monitor market trends and provide insights to enhance financial performance.
- Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and financial institutions.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Director Finance should have:
- Qualified CA with at least 17+ years of experience in the shipping industry, preferably
- Proven expertise in financial strategy, planning, and compliance within the transport and distribution sector.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
