We at Verdantas, looking for a skilled Deputy Manager – Project & Program Management (India) to join our team.
This role is responsible for leading and developing a high-performing India-based team of Project and Program Managers, driving predictable, high-quality delivery across the digital technology portfolio. The role ensures strong execution discipline, team accountability, and alignment with organizational priorities, while partnering closely with portfolio and governance leadership to maintain delivery quality, reporting accuracy, and operational transparency.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Business Analysts, Project Managers and Program Managers
- Drive onboarding, coaching, performance management, and career development
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Manage PMs/ BAs day-to-day
- Allocate resources across projects & manage timekeeping /project billing codes
- Establish PM standards and ensure quality of project plans, RAID logs, requirements, status reports
- Run weekly delivery reviews
- Coordinate with Portfolio Lead on reporting and accuracy
- Identify risks early and escalate appropriately
- Drive continuous improvement
- Requires collaboration overlap with US stakeholders
- Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Problem-Solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve program issues.
- Portfolio-planning: Portfolio-level thinking and coordination
- Attention to Detail: Precision in monitoring program progress and maintaining documentation.
Education and Experience:
- 15+ years of experience in project/program management
- 10+ years leading project and preferably program management teams
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- PMP or similar certification
- Experience in a global delivery model (India–US collaboration)
- Experience with PPM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Planner)
- Certified Scrum Master
- Predictable, on-time delivery across the portfolio
- High-quality, consistent Project Manager, Program Manager, and Business Analyst outputs
- Accurate, timely reporting for leadership
- Strong stakeholder satisfaction
- High team engagement, development, and retention
