Project Description:

For one of our clients in the Insurance segment, we are searching for a Database Administrator.
Responsibilities:
- migration related activities
- managing critical operations, such as backup strategies (relating to AWS Cloud, not just on-premise environments)
- Monitor and do the housekeeping for app servers
- Manage resource of system
- Support any deployment
- documentation
- Support patching processes
- Monitoring / performance analysis / Trouble shooting / Support in any application issues that has DB impact, etc.
Mandatory Skills Description:
Cloud & AWS:
- AWS RDS (MySQL) - Must Have
- AWS CloudWatch - Must Have
- AWS Redshift - Must Have (or similar)
Performance Optimization:
- Query pattern analysis - Must Have
- Schema design optimization - Must Have
- Indexing strategies - Must Have
- Resolution of performance bottlenecks - Must Have
Monitoring & Alerting Tools:
- AWS CloudWatch - Must Have
- Database Performance Monitoring solutions - Must Have
- SQL Sentry, xMatters, SolarWinds - Acceptable with similar
Database Platforms:
- Amazon RDS (MySQL) - Must Have
- Microsoft SQL Server (Physical/VM) - Acceptable with similar
- Azure SQL Database (PaaS/Serverless) - Acceptable with similar
- Amazon Redshift - Acceptable with similar
Nice-to-Have Skills Description:
ETL & Data Pipeline Development:
- Data pipeline development
- ETL tools
Other Nice to Have:
- Snowflake
- Python (scripting & automation)
- VMware
- Scripting
- Backup experience
