Job Description
- Lead end to end business analysis activities including requirements elicitation, analysis, validation, and documentation
- Develop and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Specifications (FSD), User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria
- Translate underwriting, and operational requirements into system ready functional designs
- Work on Guidewire User stories, Drive story grooming and backlog refinement sessions with development and QA teams
- Perform gap analysis between business requirements and out of the box Guidewire functionality
- Analyze and resolve production incidents, defects, and enhancement requests
- Partner with QA teams to review test scenarios, test cases, and UAT results
- Provide subject matter expertise across US Commercial and Specialty Lines , including but not limited to:
- Commercial Property, General Liability (CGL), Commercial Auto
- Specialty Lines (E&O, D&O, Professional Liability)
- Strong understanding of policy lifecycle : product setup, rating, quoting, underwriting, policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations
- 9+ years of Business Analyst experience in US P&C Insurance
- Proven experience working with US comm and specialty carriers
- Strong P&C insurance domain knowledge across Underwriting, Rating, Policy, and Claims
- Deep familiarity with Commercial Lines workflows and terminology
- Expertise in requirements elicitation, documentation, and traceability
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
- CPCU, AINS, or equivalent insurance certifications
- Guidewire certifications (preferred)
