Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Azure Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in Azure cloud infrastructure, cloud migration, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), hybrid connectivity, and automation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in end-to-end VM migrations, Azure infrastructure deployment, CI/CD practices, Linux administration, and operational excellence in enterprise environments.

The role demands strong ownership, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work collaboratively across infrastructure, security, networking, and application teams.

Key Responsibilities

Azure Cloud Infrastructure & Migration

• Lead and execute end-to-end cloud migration activities for enterprise workloads to Microsoft Azure.
• Perform VM discovery, sizing, dependency mapping, migration planning, execution, and post-migration validation.
• Design and manage Azure IaaS infrastructure including Virtual Machines, VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, Storage, Backup, and Monitoring.
• Support hybrid cloud connectivity between on-premises environments and Azure using VPN, ExpressRoute, and identity integrations.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of Azure infrastructure components.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules and templates.
• Manage Terraform state files, environments, and workspace strategies.
• Implement infrastructure standards, governance, and guardrails for cloud deployments.
• Automate provisioning and configuration of Azure resources using IaC best practices.

CI/CD & Deployment Practices

• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments.
• Implement release management, deployment approvals, rollback strategies, and change controls.
• Integrate infrastructure deployments with Git-based workflows and automation pipelines.

Code Repository & Version Control

• Manage source code repositories using Git.
• Follow branching strategies, pull request processes, code reviews, and repository hygiene standards.
• Maintain versioning and collaboration practices for infrastructure code.

Linux Administration

• Perform Linux system administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Manage patching, service/process monitoring, permissions, and OS-level configurations.
• Implement VM provisioning, hardening, and operational best practices in IaaS environments.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and OS-related incidents.

Monitoring & Operations

• Configure and manage Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, alerts, dashboards, and operational reporting.
• Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and incident management processes.
• Participate in operational reviews, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Automation & Configuration Management

• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and Azure CLI.
• Implement scripting standards including logging, error handling, and idempotency.
• Work with Ansible playbooks, roles, inventory management, and secrets handling practices.
