Position Summary:
We are seeking an Azure Cloud Security Architect at an expert level to drive the
security architecture vision, design enterprise-grade cloud security strategies, and lead
transformation initiatives across Azure environments. This role requires a highly strategic
thinker with a deep technical foundation, able to balance business enablement and risk
management in a cloud-first world.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Architecture & Leadership
● Define and lead the enterprise cloud security architecture roadmap for Azure.
● Serve as a trusted security advisor to executive leadership, risk teams, and
enterprise architects.
● Establish security architecture governance aligned with Zero Trust principles and
Microsoft best practices.
● Influence and define policies, frameworks, and security reference architectures at
scale.
Enterprise Security Design
● Architect end-to-end security solutions across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and hybrid
environments.
● Design scalable security models leveraging Microsoft Defender suite, Microsoft
Sentinel, Azure AD, and Purview.
● Lead secure design patterns for workload protection, identity, data, and platform
security.
Operational Excellence
● Oversee implementation of threat detection, prevention, and response mechanisms
aligned with SC-200 knowledge.
● Collaborate with SOC and IR teams to enhance security monitoring, SIEM/SOAR
integrations, and automation.
● Drive integration of DevSecOps practices and shift-left security in CI/CD pipelines.
Risk Management & Compliance
● Provide architecture assurance to meet regulatory and industry compliance (e.g.,
NIST, ISO, GDPR).
● Lead internal/external audits, security assessments, and risk mitigation planning.
● Define policies using Azure Policy, Blueprints, and Governance tools.
Mentorship & Influence
● Mentor solution architects, engineers, and operations teams on secure Azure design
and implementation.
● Lead security architecture workshops and executive-level security briefings.
● Champion a security-first culture across engineering and business teams.
Key Skills & Experience:
● 10+ years in cybersecurity, with a minimum of 5+ years in Azure cloud security
architecture.
● Deep technical mastery in Azure networking, identity, monitoring, policy, and
infrastructure.
● Expert knowledge of Microsoft security services (Defender for Cloud, Identity,
Endpoint, Sentinel, etc.).
● Strong command of IAM concepts (MFA, SSO, Conditional Access, PIM, B2B, B2C).
● Hands-on proficiency with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Bicep, Azure CLI, ARM
templates).
● Strong background in enterprise security design, threat modeling, and Zero Trust
implementation.
● Proven track record of leading multi-million dollar cloud transformation and security
programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Enterprise architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF, SABSA).
● Additional industry certs (CISSP, CCSP, CISM).
● Experience with multi-cloud security architecture (AWS, GCP).
● Public speaking experience or contribution to thought leadership in the security
community.
