JOB DESCRIPTION: SENIOR TEST AUTOMATION ENGINEER

SECTION 1: TECHNICAL SKILL SET

Automation Framework Development:

Custom Framework Design: Proven expertise in building, scaling, and optimizing Hybrid, Data-Driven, and Keyword-Driven frameworks from scratch.

TestNG Mastery: Advanced implementation of TestNG for execution control, including Parallel Execution, Test Suites, Listeners, Data Providers, and custom reporting (Extent/Allure).

Maintainability: Expertise in applying Page Object Model (POM) and Singleton design patterns to reduce script maintenance and increase reusability.

Web, Mobile & API Automation:

Selenium & Appium: Expert-level Selenium WebDriver (Java) for web and Appium for mobile (Android/iOS) automation, including complex synchronization and grid execution.

RestAssured & Karate: Comprehensive API testing using RestAssured for deep validation and Karate for BDD-style workflow testing.

CI/CD & Version Control:

Jenkins & Build Tools: Experience managing Jenkins pipelines and configuring Maven/Gradle for project lifecycle management.

GitHub & SVN: Expert in Git (Branching, PRs, Merges) with the ability to manage legacy code in SVN.

Core Engineering:

Java: Strong understanding of OOPs, Collections, and Exception Handling for writing clean, efficient automation code.

SECTION 2: JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

End-to-End Framework Ownership: Architect and lead the development of unified automation frameworks that support Web, Mobile, and API testing within a single ecosystem.

Test Orchestration: Utilize TestNG to manage complex test dependencies, prioritize critical regression suites, and optimize execution time through parallelization.

Pipeline Integration: Drive "Continuous Testing" by integrating the TestNG/Maven suites into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for automated feedback on every code check-in.

Technical Leadership: Conduct technical code reviews to ensure all scripts adhere to clean code principles and framework standards.

Strategy & Tool Selection: Evaluate and recommend automation tools (like choosing between RestAssured or Karate for specific projects) based on ROI and technical requirements.

Legacy Migration: Lead the effort to migrate legacy test suites from SVN to GitHub and upgrade older frameworks to modern, scalable architectures.

Mentorship: Act as the technical lead for the QA team, providing guidance on complex automation logic and troubleshooting framework-level issues.
