Role Description

Topic : Vehicle Function Calibration

(Calibration and validation of Vehicle functions for the specific engine/vehicle control unit based on the project requirements.)

• Execute calibration work packages as per project agreement
• Calibration and validation of vehicle functions for all vehicle/engine segments
• Support calibration project managers for process adherence
• Component Management, Vehicle and Test Track scheduling / organizing & tracking
• Coordination with internal cross-functional teams and customer
• Travel to customer location for Calibration, Validation & Field support
• Travel to various extreme locations for expedition trails (Summer, Winter, Altitude etc)
• Strict adherence to compliance requirements
• Good understanding of Engines (Diesel/Gasoline/CNG ) and exhaust gas after-treatment systems
• Preparing necessary test set up for calibration activities on the Engine/vehicle
• Basic understanding of calibration process for Vehicle functions and Data set handling, Emission, After Treatment & OBD
• Basic understanding of Engine management system, overview of sensors and actuators
• Usage of tools like INCA, MDA, Uniplot, Matlab etc.
• Good communication skills, Pro-active and enterprising approach to work in time constrained environment
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Willingness to relocate or travel extensively as part of calibration activities
• Quick in understanding technical relations and consequences
• Good driving skills for vehicle calibration activities (valid DL)
• Participate in customer discussions and provide status updates regularly
• Create calibration development reports for work-packages responsible
• Calibration review with calibration functional experts
• Field data analysis and report creation
• Calibration data and status update in ICDM & VCDM
• Support for calibration efficiency improvements and innovation
• Calibration automation and tools development
  
  

Work scope involves travelling to customer site and field expeditions in different terrain and ambient conditions, consolidated total of approximately 200 travels to be considered

(1 travel is ~15 days)

• Vehicle Function Calibration DCM/PACO/CDFx files delivery incl. ICDM updates
• Calibration development report (internal and external version)
• Application guideline/hints reports
