Overview

The Associate Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of GIS-related projects. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, ensuring project objectives are met, and maintaining alignment with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Lead GIS developers, analysts, and support teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve issues promptly.
• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
• Prepare and present project documentation, including status reports, risk assessments, and post-project evaluations.
• Ensure adherence to best practices and standards in GIS development and implementation.
• Oversee resource allocation and task prioritization for project teams.
• Drive continuous improvement in project management processes.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field.
• 12–16 years of experience in project management, with a focus on GIS or IT-related projects.
• Extensive experience with Esri technologies (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project).
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
