As an Application Developer specializing in Mainframe Modernization, you will utilize your expertise in fundamental concepts and technologies related to both mainframe systems and modernization. You will develop codes for in-place mainframe modernization and migration of mainframe applications to cloud platforms.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Develop Mainframe Modernization Code: Develop codes for both in-place mainframe modernization and migration of mainframe applications to cloud platforms, including z-cloud, and support mainframe migration to other cloud environments. Apply Technical Expertise: Utilize proficiency in various technologies, such as COBOL systems, Java, JSON, API, Microservices, SaaS, Edge, Off-premises applications, network security, Kubernetes, DevOps, Db2, CICS, WebSphere, and MQ, to deliver high-quality solutions. Support Cloud Migration: Support the migration of mainframe applications to cloud platforms, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to services. Implement Modernization Solutions: Implement modernization solutions that meet business requirements, leveraging expertise in mainframe systems and modernization technologies. Collaborate on Solution Delivery: Collaborate with teams to deliver high-quality solutions, ensuring that solutions meet business requirements and are delivered on time.

Mainframe Systems Knowledge: Exposure to fundamental concepts and technologies related to mainframe systems, including COBOL systems, Db2, CICS, WebSphere, and MQ. Modernization Technologies: Experience working with modernization technologies, such as Java, JSON, API, Microservices, SaaS, Edge, and Off-premises applications. Cloud Platform Familiarity: Exposure to cloud platforms, including z-cloud, and experience supporting mainframe migration to other cloud environments. DevOps and Security: Experience working with DevOps tools and network security measures, including Kubernetes. Legacy System Integration: Exposure to integrating legacy systems with modern technologies, including implementing modernization solutions that meet business requirements.
