Role & responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both manual and automated testing, a strong understanding of software development life cycles, and a passion for delivering high-quality software. This role involves working closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders in an Agile environment to ensure the reliability and performance of our applications.
- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases based on product requirements.
- Perform manual and automated testing of web applications and APIs.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using tools like JIRA.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure timely resolution of defects.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test suites.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Ensure test coverage and quality standards are met across all releases.
- Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests and monitoring test results.
- Create and maintain QA documentation and test reports.
- Advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Preferred candidate profile
- Proficiency in writing and executing test cases for web applications and APIs.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Ready API, Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins).
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience with SQL and working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., insurance, finance) with strict compliance requirements.
Nice-to-have skills & TOOLS
- Experience with performance and load testing tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure.
- Knowledge of testing microservices and REST APIs.
- Exposure to monitoring tools and test reporting frameworks.
Certifications
ISTQB Advanced Level Test Analyst or equivalent certification.

English - full working proficiency

7:00- 16:00 CET/CEST
Additional note
Depending on the project or maintenance requirements, there may be a need for after-hours work.
Occasionally participating in version releases or on-call-duty after working hours or on weekends.
