Role Purpose

The Content Innovation and Visualization team is focused on cultivating a storytelling- and insights-driven culture, aimed at implementing scalable solutions that remain aligned with S&P Global's strategic objectives. The team brings together data, design, workflows, business intelligence platforms, and emerging technologies to create integrated, user-centric content and visual experiences that strengthen the S&P Global brand, drive speed and innovation, and enable customers, colleagues, and partners to interact seamlessly with insights.

The core mandate of the team is to connect data and content with our customers in an integrated way to support Ratings evolving digital business model, while enhancing transparency, relevance, and how businesses engage with insights. As we advance our enterprise-wide data and digital strategy, this role will operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong design orientation, complemented by an analytical mindset and a working comfort with data, along with the ability to leverage AI-powered tools to enhance content creation, and a strong focus on execution.

Role Description

This is an associated policy role with a primary focus on translating business insights into compelling visual stories and high-quality design outputs across formats (presentations, infographics, newsletters, and video).

• Transform complex ideas, text, and data into visually compelling, easy-to-understand graphics, infographics, and storytelling assets
• Design and deliver high-quality visual content across formats, including presentations, newsletters (with HTML execution), videos, and other communication collateral
• Create clear, engaging visual narratives tailored to diverse stakeholder groups, balancing business context, design, and user needs
• Leverage AI tools to enhance content creation, including generating visual assets, improving layouts, and supporting video production workflows
• Continuously explore and adopt new tools, technologies, and design approaches, particularly in data visualization, motion design, and digital content
• Refine and elevate existing ideas and content into cohesive, high-quality visual experiences aligned with brand standards

Background & Experience

4–7 years of experience in visual design, communication design, data storytelling, or related roles. Strong portfolio demonstrating presentation design, infographics, newsletters, video/motion work, and visual storytelling

Must have

• Experience translating data and business insights into compelling visual narratives using Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g., Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop) and PowerPoint
• Strong ability to create clear, concise, and visually engaging presentations for diverse stakeholders
• Experience designing high-quality infographics and visual storytelling assets with strong attention to detail
• Experience in video creation, editing, and motion graphics (including creating new content and enhancing existing assets)
• Strong experience designing newsletters, including layout creation and working knowledge of HTML for email/newsletter development
• Ability to translate business requirements, user needs, and high-level data inputs into intuitive, visually engaging designs
• Experience working in cross-functional, global teams and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Good to have

• Familiarity with HTML/CSS beyond newsletters for broader digital design applications
• Understanding of ratings, financial services, research, or analytics-driven environments
• Experience using AI-based design or content creation tools (e.g., generative AI for images, video, or layout assistance)
• Experience developing templates, documenting design standards, or contributing to scalable design systems
