The role is for Account Manager (Inside sales team) for managing Bioprocessing (Textiles/ Pulp & Paper/ Leather/ Biocatalysis) customers business across MEIA (Middle-East, India and Africa) regions.
The position will be reporting into Head of Inside sales- Planetary Health in MEIA region and will be based out of Bangalore/ Mumbai, India.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Sales Responsibilities
- Deliver on budget and commercial profit, grow opportunity pipeline, support mid-term plans and DSO
- Structured inputs to demand planning process for optimum inventory management
- Inputs to budgeting, financial forecasting & planning process
- Own NPS and customer experience, using feedback loops for continuous improvements
- Cross functional collaboration with planning, Customer support team, Technical and regional marketing teams to enhance customer engagement
- Adopt Inside sales new ways of working, e.g. remote sales, digital tools & services ( Fingertips service promise) etc.
- Give inputs to mar-com activities to deliver scalable customer engagement
- Act as a front‑runner and ambassador for digital & AI adoption, shaping how Inside Sales is done in Planetary Health Biosolutions
- Propose changes to ways of working, need for new digital tools/interventions, co-create Fingertips service promises, ways to improve customer experience, scalability or internal processes
- Leverage AI copilots/assistants for account research, preparing outreach, and follow‑up actions
- Qualify and nurture new leads coming in from marketing campaigns
- Convert qualified leads to opportunities for industries in scope for Inside Sales
- Track conversion metrics and generate insights (Conversion %, Win rates, repeat rates etc)
- Using analytics for insight generation, prioritization and operational excellence
- Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Life Sciences/ Pharma/ related fields. MBA is a plus
- 5+ years of experience in Textile/ Pulp & Paper/ Enzymes industry. Basic understanding of enzymes is required; in-depth technical understanding is a plus
- Sales experience & efficiency: Strong understanding of sales processes, to identify opportunities and drive towards wins
- Digitally savvy: Strong understanding & adoption of digital solutions. Ability to deliver value through remote or digital-first engagement
- AI adoption: Keenness to adopt AI tools for efficiency enhancement. Leverage AI to prioritize focus areas
- Problem solving: Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Ear-to-market: Feeds customer feedback and experience back into the organization to enable tools & process improvements
- Data orientation: Is metric-driven and leverages data to make decisions
- Collaborative skills: Actively engages with Strategy Deployment, Commercial Transformation & Regional Inside Sales counterparts to co-create the Novonesis Inside Sales engine. Pilot new playbooks, service models, digital tools and AI features; share learnings
- Agility: Demonstrate agility and a test-and-learn mindset; challenge status quo with data-backed recommendations
- Language capabilities: Fluent in English
