Role Overview – We are looking for a motivated professional to manage end-to-end presales and bid management activities. This includes coordinating responses to RFPs/RFIs, engaging stakeholders across functions, assist in crafting compelling proposals, and ensuring timely, compliant submissions.
The professional is responsible for managing the entire bid process, from initial client engagement to final contract negotiations. This role ensures that bids are compelling, competitive, and precisely aligned with client requirements. The bid specialist oversees all stages of the bid lifecycle, including pre-RFP planning, resource gathering, facilitating bid meeting with stakeholders, bid submission, and post-submission activities.
Additionally, the professional will assist practice team members in creating and formatting proposals and researching necessary information. Ideal candidates are pursuing MBA, possess strong communication and analytical skills, and are proficient in Microsoft Office.
Job Description
• Engage in presales activities such as identifying client needs, understanding market trends, and gathering intelligence on competitors to inform bid strategies.
• Manage the end-to-end bid process, including coordinating bid teams and inputs from key stakeholders such as practice, delivery, centers of excellence (COEs), sales, and marketing teams.
• Support bid response (from RFI, RFP, RFQ, Proposal creation, identifying stakeholders, facilitating governance meetings, bid defense, maintaining documentation, etc.).
• Ensure on-time submission of compliant and commercially sound bids.
• Co-ordinate and plan all client presentations required as part of the bid submission.
• Understand and resolve complex technical, strategic, and business issues.
• Contribute to the written proposal - both in terms of content and presentation (such as providing guidance around the executive summary).
• Risk tracking and management throughout the bid process.
• Manage the bid budget and monitor and report on overall performance against KPIs.
• Drive continuous improvement through post-bid reviews involving all the stakeholders.
• Continuously evaluate industry trends and make data-driven decisions to optimize performance and achieve business goals.
• Ensure timescales are achieved at each step of the bid process, including all internal governance, while taking the initiative in setting realistic deadlines.
• Support other duties as assigned within the area of responsibility.
Skills –
• bachelor’s degree in engineering followed by master’s in business administration in marketing, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Proven experience in bid management, presales, and market research.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously. Classification: Public
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and bid management software.
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
