Do you want to work on the cloud foundations that enable every Husky product and solution team to succeed?

As an Engineer in our Platform Engineering team, youll help build, operate, and evolve our Azure cloud platform, contributing to Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines, and shared platform services. You’ll implement platform components based on established designs, contribute automation and reliability improvements, and support a platform that is used by many teams across the organization.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on technical work, learning modern cloud and DevOps practices, and seeing their contributions amplified across multiple products—with clear opportunities to grow toward senior and lead roles.

Responsibilities

Technical Implementation

  • Implement software components and features based on provided designs, specifications, and guidance.
  • Contribute to the development of reliable, maintainable, and secure code within the assigned scope.
  • Apply agreed coding standards, patterns, and best practices in daily development work.
  • Make basic technical decisions within assigned tasks, escalating questions or uncertainties when needed.

Delivery & Execution Excellence

  • Translate assigned requirements and tasks into working software.
  • Complete development work in alignment with sprint goals and delivery commitments.
  • Contribute to task breakdowns and effort estimates for assigned work.
  • Proactively raise risks, blockers, or implementation issues to the team.

Quality, Standards & Engineering Practices

  • Write clean, testable code and contribute to unit and integration tests.
  • Participate in code reviews, incorporating feedback and learning from peers.
  • Ensure individual contributions meet Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD) criteria.
  • Follow established DevOps, security, and quality practices.

Incident & Operational Support

  • Assist in troubleshooting defects and issues in development and production environments.
  • Support corrective (bug fixes) and evolutive (enhancements) maintenance of existing solutions.

Collaboration & Growth

  • Collaborate effectively with other developers, QA, Product Owners, and Tech Leads.
  • Seeking feedback and guidance to continuously improve technical skills.
  • Actively learn the systems, tools, and technologies used by the team.
  • Contribute positively to team culture and shared ownership of outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
  • 4+ years in cloud / DevOps / platform engineering, building IaC and CI/CD foundations for multiple teams (or equivalent demonstrated ownership/impact).
  • Hands-on Azure platform engineering background, with proven ability to design and evolve shared platform capabilities that enable multiple dev/product teams.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) lifecycle expertise: able to design, review, and maintain IaC repositories and patterns as a productized capability for others (not “one-off scripts”).
  • Containerization: Experience designing, deploying, and operating containerized applications using Azure Kubernetes Services, Container Apps, Container Instances.
  • CI/CD development: experience implementing and maintaining pipelines (validation, approvals, promotion) and embedding them into the development lifecycle.
  • Experience with security automation in the DevSecOps lifecycle (e.g., vulnerability scanning / secrets-related automation) as part of the platform pipeline/toolchain.
  • Azure DevOps & Git workflows: practical experience with branching, pull requests, and pipeline-based validation/approval gates (e.g., plan/validate then approval then apply).
  • Support developer enablement: build reusable templates/tooling and improve developer experience through automation and standardization.
  • Working knowledge of Agile development practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changing assignments, and priorities.

Assets

  • Experience using AIassisted coding tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot) responsibly, with full accountability for code quality, security, and compliance.
  • Practical exposure to monitoring/observability enablement (platform-level logging/metrics/tracing patterns and tooling integration).
  • Understanding of cloud core (hub) services and platform services that are consumed by product teams (i.e., thinking in reusable building blocks).
  • Familiarity with cost optimization / FinOps mechanics as they relate to platform foundations and guardrails.
  • Understanding of governance and compliance-by-design for cloud foundations (standards, policies, tagging/naming conventions as guardrails).
  • Understanding of compliance and security frameworks and standards, e.g. SOX, ISO 27001.
